The Imaginox Academy of Creative Arts has recently launched their online film training and development platform.
As a finalist for the D-Media Network Award for Innovation, held at BAFTA on 29th March 2011, Imaginox has already established a wide variety of industry partnerships, such as FILMUTEA.
This online film platform, aimed at creative professionals, harnesses live and interactive video-based technology in order to provide a unique service that is focused upon mentorship, training and project development within the industry.
Imaginox will aggregate an expanding, online library of video-led tutorials that will facilitate ‘disruptive learning’ across different sectors of the industry. Imaginox has been specifically tailored to suit an online arena as well as a new mode of collaborative learning within the creative arena.
Members will have the chance to learn from the UK’s finest and most established industry names in live and interactive forums, to promote their creative talent directly to the industry and enter into online competitions focused on providing a range of tangible sector specific benefits.
Key industry figures and educationalists, such as Mick Audsley (Editor of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Roger Crittenden (Head of Department, NFTS), Brian Tufano (Cinematographer on Trainspotting), Sandy Lieberson (former Chair of Film London), Larry Sider (founder of the School of Sound) and Dario Marianelli (Oscar-winning Composer of Atonement) are a handful of the industry names that Imaginox is currently working with.
In addition, one of UK’s top film producers and Director of the National Film and Television School, Nik Powell has recently become Patron to the Imaginox Online Academy.
